The Ghana Premier League will kick off on the weekend of December 27-29, the Ghana Football Association has announced.
The new season was earlier expected to commence on December 21 but after a meeting with the Premier League clubs on Monday the date has been shifted.
The 18-club topflight league will kick off from the weekend of Friday 27 December 2019, with matches to be scheduled for Saturday and Sunday December 28th and 29th December respectively.
The kick off date for the Premier League was reached during a stakeholder engagement today between the Executive Council and Premier League clubs.
Happy Sports understands that the Ghana Football Association is seeking for sponsorship from the government for the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
