The final preliminary round of the sought-after 2023 Happy FM Salah Food Fest is set to come off at the Madina bus stop on June 24 as an exciting lead-up to the grand finale.

The Zongo communities of Fadama, Madina, and Ashiaman will compete for spots in the ultimate showdown slated for July.

The Happy FM Salah Food Fest has become an annual tradition, showcasing the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Ghana’s Zongo communities. This year, the competition has witnessed intense rivalry yet an astounding sense of community and love with preliminary rounds held in Kasoa, Nima, and now Madina.

Representing the vibrant community of Fadama are the “Authentic Ladies” and “Fadma Angels” as they look set to display their culinary prowess. From Madina, the “Madina Queens” and “The Champions” will take the stage aiming to impress the judges and secure a spot in the grand finale. While “ABEN WO HA RICE” and “Ashiaman Queens” will represent the energetic city of Ashiaman to bring their distinctive culinary creations to the fore.

The Happy FM Salah Food Fest has not only become a platform for celebrating Zongo cuisine but also a way to promote cultural exchange and understanding among different communities in Ghana. The festival aims to highlight the rich culinary traditions of the Zongo communities, fostering unity and appreciation for their unique contributions to the nation’s food culture.

The final preliminary round in Madina will determine which teams will advance to the ultimate showdown in July. The grand finale promises to be a feast for the senses, as the finest chefs from Fadama, Madina, and Ashiaman would come together to compete for the coveted title of the Happy FM Salah Food Fest champions.
