2024/25 GPL Matchday 10 Wrap: Kotoko’s struggles continue, Dreams secure first win

Hearts of Oak maintained their upward trajectory with a 1-0 victory over Vision FC. Mawuli Wayo’s second-half strike secured the win for the Phobians.

Dreams FC finally broke their duck, edging Medeama SC 1-0. Joseph Esso’s penalty in the second half proved to be the difference, marking Medeama’s second consecutive defeat.

League leaders, Bibiani Gold Stars, continued their impressive form, sharing the spoils with Young Apostles FC in a goalless draw.

Kpando Heart of Lions secured a crucial 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea, thanks to Christian Agyenim’s goal. This victory propelled them to the top four.

Asante Kotoko’s struggles continued as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bechem United. Kofi Tompuo’s stunning volley sealed the win for Bechem, extending Kotoko’s winless run to three matches.

Nations FC maintained their dominance at home, thrashing Nsoatreman FC 3-0. Faisal Charwetey’s brace and Bi Boris’ goal solidified their position at the top of the league.

Aduana FC edged Karela United 1-0, while Basake Holy Stars staged a comeback to defeat Accra Lions 2-1. Legon Cities also suffered a 1-0 loss to FC Samartex.

With the league reaching the halfway point, the race for the top spot is heating up. Kotoko’s struggles have opened up opportunities for other teams to challenge for the title.
