Former National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has urged NDC supporters not to go home after voting until the results are counted.

According to him, party members should hang around after voting and observe the counting of the ballots.

Addressing journalists in the Fanteakwa south constituency of the Eastern Region, the former Chairman stressed that the NDC will not sit aloof for the will of the people to be changed.

He added that no NDC member should allow intimidation from any military personnel.

“Any soldier who thinks that we will be threatened that when we finish voting, we should go and sleep, it is not going to happen”.

He said the NDC will stand firm against any military personnel in order to protect the integrity of the ballot by all means.

He called on security agencies to act as state security agencies and not in favor of any party.

His made this comment after Sammy Gyamfi in a press conference alleged that Brigadier-General Michael Opoku is mapping out a plan to help the NPP rig the elections.
