Ghana’s 4*100 men’s relay team missed out on the finals after being disqualified in Heat 2.
The team made up of Abdul Rasheed Saminu, Benjamin Azamati, Ibrahim Fuseini and Joseph Paul Amoah finished 6th with a time of 38.62.
However, team Ghana’s finish wouldn’t have mattered as they were disqualified because of the baton change between Abdul Rasheed Saminu and Benjamin Azamati.
China, France and Canada qualified to the finals of the 4*100 men’s relay event with a respective time of 38.24, 38.34 and 38.39.
Ghana’s campaign in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is now over as the 4*100 men’s event was the last event involving Ghanaians.
