Member of Parliament for Ekumfi and also Deputy Minister for fisheries and aquaculture, Francis Kingsley Ato Cudjoe has disclosed that government was set to launch a new project called Aquaculture for Food and Jobs.
The deputy Minister who was speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Da Ben’ show said government has put in place strong measures to tackle illegal fishing on our waters and also to help fight unemployment.
“When we came to office they were three big challenges the Ministry was facing. These challenges include illegal fishing, using imperfect chemicals like DDT to kill fishes and light fishing. But now government has put measures in place and will launch a new project which is the aquaculture for food and jobs soon,” Mr Cudjoe said.
