The National Democratic Congress constituency chairman for Awutu Senya East Constituency, Stephen Ofosu Agyare has described the 24 hour economy initiative as a policy that will reduce the high crime rate in the country especially in Kasoa.

According to him, the high level of crime in Kasoa is due to the unavailability of job opportunities for the youth.

He stressed that, the lack of jobs for the youth in the constituency is because of the incompetence of incumbent Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson. According to him, the MP cannot lobby for development that can create job opportunities for the youth to survive.

“The MP who is also the Minister for fisheries and Aquaculture has not been able to bring their own one district one factory initiative into this constituency for the youth to benefit from it”.

Stephen Owusu called on the youth and the people of Awutu Senya East Constituency to kick against the current MP and vote for the NDC Parliamentary Candidate Phyllis Naa Koyoo and John Dramani Mahama to be able to implement the proposed 24 hour economy and create more jobs for the people of Ghana especially the youth.
