President John Dramani Mahama, President will officially launch the much-anticipated 24-Hour Economy policy on Republic Day, July 1, 2025.
The initiative, a key campaign promise, is designed to transform Ghana’s economy by enabling continuous productivity across major sectors, day and night.
The policy aims to create more jobs, boost efficiency, and expand national output through shift-based systems in both public and private enterprises.
Industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, retail, transport, hospitality, and essential services are expected to be significantly impacted by the policy, fostering economic growth and development.
The Information Services Department (ISD) has confirmed that the 24-Hour Economy will be anchored on innovation, technology, and strategic investment in energy and security infrastructure to support uninterrupted economic activity.
President Mahama has championed the policy as a game-changer, highlighting its potential to modernize Ghana’s economy and dramatically reduce unemployment.
