Former Ghana Boxing Authority boss, Moses Foh Amoaning has praised the government for the restoration of the National Sports Festival after six years. He believes the future of our sports starts from the grass root.
According to the astute law lecturer, the restoration of the national sports festival should lead to Ghana’s bid for the All African Games.
Speaking on Happy FM, Foh-Amoaning indicated that it was shameful for a country like Ghana not to have a go at the All Africa Games.
” The restoration of the National Sports Festival is a great thing and it should lead to Ghana biding for All African Games. I have discussed it with Dr. Owusu Ansah and the Hon. Sports minister. It is a shame for a sporting nation like Ghana not biding for All African Games before. I have heard that, the team will come to Ghana in October to inspect our facilities. The whole sports media should drive this agenda to make it successful” it will be an honour for the government to bid for All African Games 2023″
He again stressed on the importance of All African Games. He stated that, “if we bid and get the nod to host, its impact on the country will be great. It will help us build sporting infrastructure for all sporting disciplines and not for football only. At least, we will build an Olympic size stadium that will consist of all the sporting disciplines”, he told Happy FM.
