An aggrieved baby mama destructed church service at Sepaase Grace Baptist Church in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region when she heard her child’s father was getting married to a member of the congregation.
Akua Afriyie had cohabited with her partner Kofi Boateng for over five years. Though they are not legally married under any of the legally accepted forms of marriage in Ghana, they have one child.
The 28-year-old Akua Afriyie who is also pregnant with a second child for Kofi Boateng told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM that she moved out of the house they lived in after the church suspended her partner for fornicating.
After delivery, she lived alone but recently visited Boateng. During the visit, they had a sexual affair which led to the second pregnancy. She later learnt that her partner was getting married to another lady.
She immediately went to the church when she heard the news. She carried a bottle of schnapps and invoked curses on Kofi Boateng, the wife-to-be, the pastor, family and friends who would attend the wedding.
Kofi Boateng who is also Youth President of the church said he could not marry Akua Afriyie because she curses at the least provocation and his relatives are not in support of his marriage to Akua Afriyie.
