LVCA Distances Itself From Governing NPP

The Let My Vote Count Alliance (LVCA) has served notice that it is not a baby of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) but a coalition of political parties operating in the country.

According to John Akwa, the Director of Operations for LVCA group, is made up of people in the People’s National Convention (PNC), Convention People’s Party (CPP) among others.
He said the group cannot be branded as a protégé of the governing NPP so, ‘‘we will resist any attempt to pushed into that direction.’’ Mr. Akwa made this comment on Accra –based Happy FM’s afternoon show called ‘Epa Hoa Daben” hosted by Kwame Afrifa Mensah.
All these came to the fore when the leadership of the group issued a statement demanding speedy investigations into the petition presented to the Chief Justice over the malfeasance at the Electoral Commission.
He said what is happening at the election management headquarters needs to be thoroughly investigated to lay the matter rest once and for all.
He said the group does not understand why the Chief Justice is delaying in working on the petition. He noted that the group would continue to push for the investigation at the EC to bring some sanity into the election management body of the country.
