If I don’t have a hit song , You don't interview me – Ayigbe Edem rows

Celebrated Ghanaian Ewe rapper, Ayigbe Edem has revealed that, the media don’t get to interview him  when he doesn’t have a hit song.
‘Nobody is going to call me for an interview unless  am  involved in a controversy.
The media only call me when they are interested in making a controversy out of me and not  in relation to my career.
Speaking in a phone interview on Happy Fm’s Showbiz xtra hosted by Doctar Cann, the rapper explained ” when you look at Fancy Gadem now, he has the biggest song in Accra  which has a mainstream  artistes.; If I am right? Edem questioned.
Edem who won the Best International Act-Africa at 2015 Black Canadian Awards added ” I remember back in South Africa when Wutah and I were passing by a restaurant and we heard Ofori Amponsah’s song . Everybody came back again and we entered the restaurant to see what kind of food they were selling because naturally people mostly gravitate toward language they understand in music.
I’m saying that we are a country of diverse culture and people, so we all have to be represented equally, it is only right he said.
Reacting to social media users who have recently condemned him for saying he is underrated because he hails from the Volta Region.
He questioned ? ” I will ask people on social media what about EL, MZ Vee and StoneBwoy? They are also from the Volta Region but none of them ply their trade in Ewe therefore, that is not a point of reference.
But for others who are plying their trade in a certain dialect, they need to be given the needed exposure and mileage for people to decide” he indicated.
Edem topped the 2014 4syte TV Music Video Awards with 3 awards for Best Directed, Best Photography and Most Outstanding Video for “The One” featuring SwayUK directed by Gyo Gyimah.
