Operations Manager of Aduana Stars, George Gyau has rubbished suggestions that the club sacked coach Cioaba Aristica.
Earlier reports indicated that the Dormaa-based club has axe their Romanian coach Cioaba Aristica, who is in his second stint with the club following his previous engagement with the club in 2011/12 season.
But George Gyau dismissed the allegation and clarified the reason for his departure from the club in an exclusive interview on Happy FM’s Wamputu sports.
“It’s not true that we’ve sacked Aristica. He only signed a contract for one-year and it has expired.”
“But we are in discussion with him to extend the deal, but as to say he’s leaving or staying with Aduana, we’ll know in the coming weeks.”
Cioaba Aristica guided the team to finish second on the log in the 2016 Ghana Premier League.
