Asamoah Gyan Reveals: Football is my profession but boxing is my passion

Captain and leader of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has intimated his unflinching love for boxing though football is the sport he plays to make money.
Gyan, who is the president of Baby Jet Promotions, revealed that when he’s not playing football, he spends his time to watch boxing bouts.
The Shanghai SIPG attacker told Happy FM in an exclusive interview Thursday morning that his passion for the sport of boxing is the reason he is investing so much resources into its development in Ghana.
“You must have a passion for whatever you do. Everyone knows I’m a footballer but away from the field, boxing is what I watch at home.  Football is my profession and what God has blessed me with but boxing is the sport I follow most so I know a lot about it. This is the reason I decided to help the guys around so that we bring back the days where we had to keep vigil to watch Ghanaian boxers fight. I have seen some talents here and it’s the reason I want to help them and the sport. You must have a passion for whatever you do.” Asamoah Gyan told Happy FM.
Asamoah Gyan’s boxer, Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe is billed to defend his WBA International Lightweight title against his Filipino opponent, Carlo Magali, tonight, Friday July 15 at the Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium.
