Women in PR (WiPR) Ghana’s highly anticipated 2025 Annual Summit is scheduled  for July 4th and 5th, under the theme “Building Authentic Brands as Ethical Storytellers.”

Trust is fragile. The 9th Annual Women in PR Ghana Summit is expected to shine a powerful light on what truly matters in storytelling- truth, integrity, and ethical leadership in communication.

This year’s event calls on public relations professionals and students alike to step into the role of authentic storytellers, championing truth in every brand narrative.

Through inspiring sessions and hands-on learning, participants will be guided to embrace authenticity and value addition as a strategic path toward lasting brand loyalty.

The two-day event will kick off with a virtual engagement on Friday, July 4th via Zoom and FaceBook, and continue with a physical gathering on Saturday, July 5th, at The Ghana – India Kofi- Annan ICT Center of Excellence, Ridge Accra for Day two, from 10:00 am- 3:00 pm each day.

The summit is a bouquet of workshops, panel discussions, and keynote addresses that will explore the erosion of public trust and how ethical storytelling can act as a transformative strategy. The panel discussion will focus on navigating ethical dilemmas in digital public relations. Curated to give participants the best experience, the sessions are designed to be practical, interactive, and relevant to practitioners and the student community.

The summit will cover topics such as Building Trust in the Age of Mistrust, Restoring stakeholder confidence through ethical storytelling, Inclusive and ethical representation in PR, Campaigns, Ethical use of Social Media to Shape Brands ethically, among others.

Joyce Sackitey- Ahiadorme, President of Women in PR Ghana, said, “Being an ethical storyteller is no longer optional, it’s our obligation. In this age of content creation by the masses, our voice as the authentic storyteller must reflect both clarity and character. The 9th WiPR summit invites us to move beyond communication, to lead, to inspire, and to shape brands that resonate with the truth no matter how challenging the circumstances.”

The summit will feature distinguished Speakers and Communication Experts, including Petra Aba Asamoah, Writer and Business Executive, Doris Casares, Global Chief Communication Officer, Mango (GWPR), and Akosua Kwafo Ogyiri, Communications Manager, WaterAid Ghana.

Experts such as Ruddy Kwakye, Founder & CEO, The Rave Group, Mariam Buahin, Brand, Marketing and Fintech Professional, Noel Nutsugah, PhD, Public Relations and Marketing Communication Practitioner, Shirley Tony Kum, APR, Corporate Communications Manager, Vivo Energy Ghana PLC,  Derick Romeo Adogla, Communications Lead, Newmont’s Ahafo North Project, Maukeni Ribeiro, Brand & Communications Strategist, Makafui Ayimey, Founder, Accra Goods Market, would be on the panels to drive home the message of ethics in storytelling.

Lorrencia Nkrumah, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Specialist, Nestle Ghana, and Thando Dhaza, Communications Specialist, will moderate both Day 1 and Day 2 panel discussions, respectively. Pamela Boateng, PR Officer, SIC Life Company Limited, will host the Day 2 event.
