Jeff Kennedy, a Ghanaian Medical Doctor at the Cape Coast Regional Hospital, has shared how suffering the COVID-19 virus affected his faith as a Christian.

According to the young man, he has always believed in God but, “me testing positive for the virus and going into isolation for some days actually taught me that God is truly our protector”.

Narrating his experience to Dr Cann on Happy 98.9 FM’s Showbiz Xtra he said, “most people are taking the virus as a joke but it honestly is no joke. As a frontline worker, it was a must for me to get tested every two weeks. So I one day took the test and it came out positive”.

The doctor added he was surprised at the outcome of the test results because, he was always following the necessary protocols. ” After testing positive, I did not have any choice than to go into isolation and get treated”.

“It was not easy because it puts you in a state where you begin to overthink. This is where you have to be strong and balance your thoughts and your faith in God because it really takes a toll on you. Being in a room all by myself is not a very nice experience”, he said.

He went on to say, “I hear people say the virus only kills the rich but I beg to differ. It can kill anyone because I have seen professors, children and all sorts of people get infected with some even dying from the virus”.

He advised listeners to stay safe and keep adhering to the necessary COVID-19 safety protocols to avoid contracting the virus.
