Habib Mohammed who has been playing defensive midfield role was preferred at the central defence to Mubarik Yussif.

Emmanuel Gyamfi returned to the starting lineup in place of Ibrahim Osman after missing last week’s game.

Playmaker Augustine Boakye was welcomed into the starting lineup to replace Abdul Basit Issah after fully recovering from an injury.

Francis Boateng also paved way for Derrick Mensah.

Asante Kotoko got their noses in front just two minutes into the game when Abdul Ganiu Ismail converted a spot kick.

WAFA goalkeeper Kwadwo Osei Bonsu brought down striker Francis Andy Kumi inside the box after failing to deal with a one-on-one situation
