Ghana’s number one radio station, Happy98.9FM, has donated an amount of GHc1,600 to the mother of the 15 year old girl recovering from a severe case of abdominal distension.

The woman who was rendered jobless in order to care for her sick child, had invested all she had in search of a cure for her daughter, received this amount as seed capital from the NsemPii team and its ardent listeners.

Asked by Host of the show, Rev. Nyansa Boakwa if she would want to go back to her trade after her daughter’s recovery, she responded, “Yes, I would love to but currently I have nothing to start the business with as everything I have has been spent into taking care of my daughter.”

Answering to how much she would need to start her pineapple business again, she shared, “If I can get GHc500 I will be able to start my business again and gradually get back on my feet.”

The NsemPii team, together with some loyal listeners and viewers touched by the story of the woman and her daughter, contributed an amount of GHc1,600 for the woman.

Out of gratitude she said, “I am very happy about this and I am most grateful for the love shown my daughter and I by Happy98.9FM, the NsemPii team and everyone who sent in their contribution. I pray the almighty God continues to bless you all and fill your pockets with plenty. My family is most grateful for your kind gesture.”
