US Ambassador graces 2023 UN Peace Keeping Ministerial Conference in Accra today

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, representative of the United States of America at the United Nations is set to lead a United States delegation to the 2023 UN Peace Keeping Ministerial in Accra Ghana.

According to a press release issued by the United States Mission to UN, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will serve as Head of Delegation, as she sets a new pace regarding support from the Unites States to strengthen UN Peacekeeping operations, including support to African countries.

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield is scheduled to deliver the opening remarks at the US-hosted event and soon after will join a panel to discuss Peace and Security in Africa.

The press release signed by the United States Mission to United Nation’s Office of the Press and Public Diplomacy, relayed that the event centers on the protection of civilians, safety, and security, the mental health of peace keepers and women in peacekeeping, as well as misinformation, disinformation and hate speech.
