Happy 98.9 FM is proud to announce the Grand Finale of the 2024 SalahFest Inter-Zongo Cooking Competition.

The final contest to determine the zongo community with the ultimate culinary skills will take place on June 29, 2024, at the Fadama Lorry Station, opposite the Chief Imam’s residence.

After intense preliminary rounds, ten exceptional teams representing various Zongos across Accra have made it to the final stage.

They will showcase their culinary prowess, battling for the coveted title of 2024 Inter-Zongo Cooking Champion.

The competition promises to be fierce, with delicious dishes, intense competition, and a celebration of the rich culture and traditions of the Muslim community.

Contestants will be graded based on hygiene, plating, taste, execution, creativity, teamwork, and discipline.

Listeners of Happy98.9FM, friends, and family of contestants are invited to join in the celebration of the rich diversity of our Zongos.

The Grand Finale promises to be an unforgettable experience, promoting cultural exchange and unity among the participating communities.

Happy FM’s Programmes Manager Kwabena Ampong extends gratitude to all sponsors and supporters for the massive support throughout the competition, and urged the various Zongo communities to fully support contestants for the final lap of this culinary brawl.

This year’s edition of the Salah Food Fest inter-zongo cooking contest is proudly sponsored by Tasty Tom Enriched Tomato Mix, Frytol Vegetable Cooking Oil, Fortune Rice, Fortune All Purpose Margarine, Nkulenu Industries, Chocho Industries and Henos Energy.
