The NDC Communication Officer in the Awutu Senya West Constituency, Cassius Otto Larbie has refuted allegations levelled against the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency, Gizella Tetteh Agbotui by Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for describing the MP as liar.

On September 2, 2024, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stated that the Member of Parliament of Awutu Senya West is spreading lies in the Constituency that the Kasoa-Winneba road project is fully funded by ECOWAS.

Dr. Bawumia set the record straight that the road project is fully funded by government and not ECOWAS.

He said this when delivering a keynote address at the Awutu Awubia Festival held on Monday at Awutu Breku.

In response, the NDC Communication Bureau in the Constituency has urged the public to disregard that claim from Dr. Bawumia.

In an interview with Happy Kasiebo, Cassius Otto Larbie said the MP has never said that anywhere that the Kasoa-Winneba road is funded by ECOWAS.

“In the first place, where and when did the MP make that statement, he asked”.

According to him, the Chiefs of Awutu Breku were not happy that government did not engage them before executing the road project which passes through their land, when the Parliamentary Select Committee on Roads and Highway visited the Constituency to examine the road.

The Communication Officer emphasized that this ruling government does not have any proper message for the good people of the constituency so they came to the Constituency with the intention of tanishing the reputation of the MP.
