In a world where female entrepreneurs are continuously breaking barriers, Telecel Ghana is stepping up to inspire more women to build and grow their businesses. As part of its SME Month activities, Telecel Ghana has proudly introduced a series of webinars under the Women in Business (WIB) initiative to inspire, equip, and accelerate the growth of women-led small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).

The maiden edition, themed “The Empire SHE Built”, hosted by renowned media personality and entrepreneur, Deloris Frimpong Manso (widely known as Delay), featured three remarkable Ghanaian businesswomen: Beryl Agyekum-Ayaaba, CEO of Echohouse Africa; Yaa Birago, Founder and CEO of Soko Bags Ltd.; and Afi Amoro, CEO of Jandel Ltd. Together, these women shared their personal journeys of resilience, determination, and growth in building successful entrepreneurial empires.

Telecel SME Month highlights the critical role these businesses play in driving economic growth, employment, and innovation. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by female-led businesses, Telecel Business launched this initiative to provide tailored support, resources, and products that empower women entrepreneurs to grow and thrive.

The unfiltered conversations allowed the panelists to touch on personal and professional hurdles they have encountered, such as balancing motherhood, managing business expansion, and dealing with societal expectations placed on women.

This initiative is a testament to Telecel Ghana’s belief in the potential of female entrepreneurs and the importance of creating platforms that foster collaboration, mentorship, and growth. The stories shared by these powerhouse women underscored their success as a result of hard work, consistency, innovation, and adaptability.

Through WIB, Telecel Ghana is building a robust ecosystem of tailored products, services, and events designed to meet the specific needs of female entrepreneurs, thus amplifying their potential to become dynamic business leaders. As Tawa Bolarin, Director of Telecel Business, aptly put it, “Empowering female entrepreneurs is not just about equality; it’s about ensuring that our economy grows in a sustainable and inclusive way.”

As Telecel Ghana continues to champion women-led businesses, the series of webinars are set to become a cornerstone of the organization’s mission to support female entrepreneurs. Through its suite of services, WIB is not only building businesses but legacies that will inspire future generations.
