The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has expanded its operations with the launch of a new branch at Amrahia, as part of efforts to bring its services closer to residents in the Adentan Constituency and surrounding communities.
The launch brought together key stakeholders, including the Member of Parliament for the Adentan Constituency, Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, and the Chief Executive Officer of the DVLA, Julius Neequaye Kotey, alongside other officials and members of the community.

Delivering his welcome address, Adentan Constituency MP Mohammed Adamu Ramadan indicated that the establishment of the new DVLA office followed careful consideration and deliberations with key stakeholders to ensure that essential services are brought closer to residents in Amrahia and its surrounding areas.
According to him, the new facility is expected to provide residents with easier access to key DVLA services, including driver licensing and vehicle-related transactions, while reducing the need to travel long distances to access the Authority’s services.
“We are very grateful for this new office that has been brought closer to the people in this part of the Adenta constituency.”

Speaking at the gathering, Chief Executive Officer of the DVLA, Julius Neequaye Kotey, expressed gratitude to the stakeholders who contributed to the establishment of the facility.
He revealed that the Amrahia office is the 26th branch successfully established across the region, describing the expansion as part of efforts to decentralise public services and make essential government services more accessible to residents.
“This is more than opening an office it is about bringing quality services closer; Amrahia has a growing population in vehicular activity and has increased the demand for accessible DVLA services.”

The DVLA Amrahia Ultra Centre has been furnished with state-of-the-art equipment to facilitate enquiries, licence registration and processing. The facility also provides adequate space for eligible persons awaiting their processed licences.
The establishment of the centre forms part of the DVLA’s broader efforts in recent years to improve customer experience, modernise its operations and make its services more accessible to motorists and vehicle owners.
Located within the wider Adentan area, Amrahia has experienced growth in population and vehicular activity, increasing the demand for accessible public services within the community.
The DVLA has also urged the public to be cautious of unofficial intermediaries when accessing its services. Customers have been encouraged to make payments only through authorised channels and ensure they obtain official DVLA receipts for transactions.
The launch of the Amrahia Ultra Centre therefore marks another step in the Authority’s efforts to decentralise its operations, improve accessibility and enhance service delivery for motorists and vehicle owners.
