Alan Kyerematen, the Presidential Candidate of the Movement for Change has challenged former president John Agyekum Kufuor over the competence of Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Alan Kyerematen, former president Kufuor should tell Ghanaians what Dr. Bawumia has done for him to tout him as the best person to lead the country.

He said the former president cannot be allowed to paint Dr. Bawumia as the best candidate without providing a detailed explanation on what makes him the ideal candidate.

“What has Bawumia done for him to say that he is the best person to lead the country? I’m challenging president Kufuor to come out and say what he has done because I want to know.”

“He said he brought Bawumia to the party so he should tell us what he was doing before he joined the party. I really wan to know,” Alan Kyerematen said.

He added that former president Kufuor once credited him for over 70 percent of his policies so if today he doesn’t know his worth he should come and say it.

“Before I joined his administration, president Kufuor himself knew what I had done before. If today he wants to say that he doesn’t know the worth of Alan then it is up to him because he once credited me for 70 percent of his policies.”
