President – elect of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump has shared his plans of ending United States citizenship attained by birth as one of his first executive amendments once he assumes office in the White House.

Trump, who was declared winner of the U.S 2024 polls, has looked at a number of policies he seeks to amend once his term as President in January 2025 begins.

The President-elect in a press briefing – “Meet the Press” shed light on his plans to deport millions of undocumented immigrants in the U.S, central to his immigration agenda for his upcoming term. The initiative focuses on declaring illegal immigration a national emergency, expanding detention capacity, and prioritizing deportations for individuals with criminal convictions or final removal orders.

He also shared plans to end birthright citizenship — long enshrined in the 14th Amendment of the Constitution — which would strip rights from those born in the country to undocumented parents.

Speaking on the habit of pregnant women traveling to the U.S to deliver their children, he said “We are going to have to change, we are going to have to go back to the people but we have to change it. Do you know that if somebody sets a foot, just one foot you don’t need two all that is congratulations you are now a citizen of the United States of America we are going to end that.”

Despite logistical obstacles, Trump’s team is preparing executive actions to expedite deportations, aiming to reshape U.S. immigration policy dramatically.
