The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a warning to individuals engaged in what it describes as illegal activities, particularly the re-collation and re-declaration of parliamentary election results.
The party has vowed that all those involved will face legal consequences after January 7.
The NDC’s Director of Elections and IT, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah in a FacebookpostonTuesday, December 17, expressed concern over the Electoral Commission’s (EC) handling of critical election procedures. He highlighted an instance where the EC refused to cross and cancel unused pink sheets during the collation process, raising suspicions about their potential misuse. The NDC believes these loose pink sheets are being exploited to manipulate results through unauthorized re-collation and re-declaration, a situation the party describes as unacceptable.
Dr. Omane Boamah also criticized inconsistencies in the EC’s conduct, particularly its use of pen markers as indelible ink at certain polling stations, contrary to prior assurances. These irregularities, the NDC argues, cast doubt on the credibility of the EC and its ability to uphold the integrity of Ghana’s electoral process.
Despite these challenges, the NDC remains firm in its belief that the December 7 elections reflected overwhelming support for the party from Ghanaians. The party has emphasized its determination to protect the democratic will of the people and ensure accountability for all electoral malpractices.
He urged the Electoral Commission to clarify the events that occurred at the Ablekuma North constituency last night, emphasizing that the NDC remains vigilant and continues to keep a close watch on both the EC and the NPP.

Every criminal actor in this process will face the full rigor of the law after January 7.
