Veteran coach Nana Joe Adarkwa has officially parted ways with Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC, ending a remarkable nine-year association with the former Ghana Women’s Premier League (GWPL) champions.

During his tenure, Adarkwa guided the Techiman-based club to its maiden GWPL title in 2015, breaking the dominance of Hasaacas Ladies in the women’s league. Under his leadership, Ampem Darkoa secured two additional league titles, a Super Cup trophy, and participated in the 3rd Women’s Premier League, where they fell just short of clinching the ultimate prize.

Reflecting on his journey, Adarkwa shared a heartfelt farewell message:

“As we part ways, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to coach and mentor each of you. Your dedication, passion, and perseverance have inspired me every step of the way. I’m so proud of the progress we’ve made together, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the memories we’ve created. You’ve not only grown as athletes but also as individuals, and I have no doubt that you’ll carry the lessons and values we’ve shared onto future endeavors. Thank you again for an unforgettable journey. I’ll be cheering for each of you every step of the way.”

Adarkwa’s time at Ampem Darkoa was also marked by the development of several national team talents, including Mavis Owusu, Comfort Yeboah, Justice Tweneboah, Princella Adubea, Grace Asantewaa, Priscilla Okyere, and Mary Amponsah.
