Outgoing President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to deliver his final State of the Nation Address (SONA) from the Parliament House on Friday, January 3, 2025, ahead of the dissolution of the 8th Parliament.
The president is expected to present an up to date state of the nation’s address before handing over to President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama on January 7, 2025.
President Akufo- Addo’s last State of the Nation’s address is in line with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution.
The address will be the President’s final report on the state of the nation before his term ends.
Meanwhile, the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic is expected to be dissolved on Monday, January 6, 2025, which will pave way for the inauguration of the 9th Parliament.
