Deputy Majority Leader, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has urged the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, to focus on ensuring the smooth conduct of parliamentary business following his shift to opposition.

While acknowledging the emotional challenges Afenyo-Markin faces with the transition, Armah-Kofi Buah emphasized that it is crucial for the Minority Leader to help maintain order and avoid unnecessary disruptions in the legislative process.

Armah-Kofi Buah stated that the Majority side has been patient, allowing Afenyo-Markin to express the frustrations associated with the loss of power. However, he reminded his colleague of his responsibility to facilitate the orderly flow of proceedings, particularly as the house works on legislative matters that require cooperation.

According to him, Afenyo-Markin has been talking a lot lately, but they’re focused on indulging him so he can air all the pains of losing. He urged him to focus on being productive.

The Deputy Majority Leader further noted that the Majority side remains committed to ensuring the effective execution of government business and expects the Minority Leader to be productive in this regard. He called for continued cooperation and a focus on achieving legislative goals without unnecessary interruptions, assuring that the Majority will work diligently to ensure that government priorities are pursued efficiently.
