Donald J. Trump has officially been sworn into office as the 47th President of the United States of America.

Trump, after being sworn-in, delivered a highly anticipated inaugural address on January 20, with a declaration of the day as ‘Liberation Day.’ He announced his readiness to assume office, stating that he, together with his cabinet, will work to restore American prosperity and pride.

In his speech, he outlined key policies issued under executive orders, including immigration and border security, energy policy, withdrawal from certain international agreements, pardons, federal workforce policies, and also gender definitions. “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female,” Trump declared.

Other policies he introduced were trade policies, government restructuring, public health policies, social policies, technology and security measures, and national symbols.

President Trump has been congratulated by world leaders on his inauguration, with many urging stronger alliances or continued cooperation between their countries and the United States in carefully crafted social media posts and statements.

He moves into office with a number of newly appointed members of his cabinet, including Elon Musk as the Head of the Department of Government Efficiency; Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone, and Jon Voight as Special Ambassadors to Hollywood; Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Head of the Health and Human Services Department; Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense; Marco Rubio as Secretary of State; Mike Huckabee as U.S. Ambassador to Israel; Pam Bondi as Attorney General; Kash Patel as Director of the FBI; and Kristi Noem as Homeland Security Secretary.
