Prez. Mahama calls for an amendment to Public Holiday Act

President John Dramani Mahama has announced the nomination of deputy sectorial ministers.

According to a statement from the presidency, the nomination is in accordance with Article 78 (1) and 79 (1) of the constitution.

The statement added that, the names have been submitted to parliament through speaker Alban Bagbin for prior approval.

1. Deputy Finance Minister Nominee- Thomas Nyarko Ampem

2. Deputy Interior Minister Nominee- Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi

3. Deputy Defence Minister Nominee- Ernest Brogya Gyenfi

4. Deputy Education Minister Nominee-Clement Abas Apaak

5. Deputy Energy and Green Transition Nominee- Richard Gyan- Mensah

6. Deputy Roads and Highways Minister Nominee- Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini

7. Deputy Justice and Attorney General Minister Nominee- Justice Srem- Sai

8. Deputy Lands and Natural Resources Minister Nominee- Yusif Sulemana

9. Deputy Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister Nominee- Rita Naa Odoley Sowah

10. Deputy Works, Housing and Water Resources Minister Nominee- Gizella Tettey-Agbotui

11. Deputy Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Minister Nominee- Yussif Issaka Jajah

12. Deputy Food and Agriculture Minister Nominee- John Kofi Setor Dumelo

13.Deputy Trade, Agribusiness and Industry Minister Nominee- Samson Ahi

The president also nominated Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba as Minister of State, Public Sector Reforms.
