The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), in partnership with Arash Motors Ltd., has officially launched the Ghana edition of the Africa on Apache tour to promote TVS motor vehicles across the continent.

Ghana is the seventh of eight African countries on the motor tour, which features the all-new Apache RTR 180. The campaign seeks to capture the interest of Ghana’s youth with the excitement and functionality of the vehicle line.

Set to run from Friday, May 9 to Sunday, May 11, 2025, the Africa on Apache tour will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ghana, offering participants, which include Indian motorcycle influencer Motographer and Ghana’s own motorcycle stuntman, Meek Mill MM to lead in the first-hand experience of the country’s scenic beauty and diverse traditions.

Former Ambassador of Ghana to India Michael Oquaye, who championed the initiative, praised the effort by TVS Motors to deepen ties between India and Ghana. He stated, “Ghana and India go way back into the days of our independence. If you check the framework of our foreign ministry, you will realize that a lot of operations were adopted from India. And today we witness this partnership that brings vehicles for the youth of the Ghanaian market. This tour will let Ghanaians know that Indian motor technology in terms of motorbikes is top notch.”

Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs at GTA, Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi, described the campaign as a strategic move to position Ghana as a leading tourist destination. He acknowledged the efforts of the management of Arash Motors for this opportunity to place Ghana, once again on the global radar. “Our CEO, Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto wishes to put across that this partnership is a testament to the GTA’s commitment to fraternizing tourism promotion. It therefore aligns with the Authority’s mission to position Ghana as a top destination in Africa through digital marketing and influencer engagement,” he said.

Chief Executive Officer of Arash Motors, Dharamveer Singh Shekhawat, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from GTA and emphasized the broader impact of TVS vehicles in Ghana. “TVS is helping people and not just people but also families. Our line of vehicles ranges from motorbikes to the three-wheelers, which is also known over here in Accra as Pragya. Although it’s not direct employment, they are starting transport services which is one of the biggest sources of employment and income for the youth,” he noted.
