As Muslims across Ghana and around the world mark the sacred occasion of Eid al-Adha, Former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has extended his heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community.
In a post on Facebook , Dr. Bawumia on behalf of his family wished all Muslims a peaceful and blessed celebration.
He called for Allah’s blessings upon the country.
“May the Almighty Allah accept our sacrifices, prayers and extend His infinite blessings upon
our loved ones and dear
nation Ghana”, he stated on his Facebook page.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is one of the most significant events in the Islamic calendar. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in obedience to God’s command, a testament to faith, devotion, and selflessness.
In celebration, Muslims offer prayers, engage in charitable giving, and share meals with family, friends, and the less fortunate.
