A 14-year-old Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidate, Jennifer Osei Nyamah, tragically passed away shortly after completing her first paper on Wednesday, June 12, 2025.

Jennifer, a student at Kwahu Praso Preparatory School in the Kwahu South Municipality, had complained of persistent headaches before the exams. Her mother gave her paracetamol to ease her discomfort.

After finishing her first paper, she started feeling weak and was rushed to the Kwahu Praso Clinic for medical attention.

As her condition worsened in the evening, she was transferred to Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw, where she sadly passed away.

Her sudden death has deeply affected her classmates, teachers, and the community.

The Municipal Education Director has urged students to remain focused while prioritizing their well-being.
