The District Chief Executive for Suaman, Obour Vasco, has revealed that the district will soon begin constructing a 24-hour market centre at Dadieso, the district’s capital.

During an engagement with some residents at Ameyawkrom, a community in the Suaman District, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Suaman, Vasco Obour, revealed plans to establish a 24-hour economic market in Dadieso to boost local trade and economic growth.

According to the DCE, the initiative forms part of a national policy direction led by the President, which mandates all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to implement the 24-hour economy model aimed at increasing production, creating jobs, and enhancing livelihoods.

He stated that the Dadieso market would be transformed into a 24-hour trading hub, with special attention to infrastructure and safety.

He disclosed that the new night market will be strategically situated at the current transport station to facilitate easy access and movement of goods and people, especially at night. The facility will also include a CHPS compound and a security post to ensure healthcare and safety services are readily available to traders and customers after dark.

In addition to the market project, Obour Vasco reiterated the assembly’s commitment to accelerating development in the area. He charged the residents to report their challenges to the assembly for possible redress.
