The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the alleged robbery and murder of 20-year-old Kofi Mensah at Tweapease-Aboo in the Ashanti Region.
The suspects, identified as Solomon Opoku and Collins Aboagye, were apprehended following intelligence-led operations initiated after the incident was reported on October 6, 2025, by the local Assembly Member, Francis Appiah.
Police reports indicate that Kofi Mensah was attacked and killed by unknown assailants who subsequently made away with his Haojin motorbike.
Four days after the incident, police arrested Solomon Opoku at Council Quarters in Obuasi when he attempted to sell the stolen motorbike. Further investigations led to the arrest of Collins Aboagye at Kokotesua, also in Obuasi.
According to the police, both suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crime and have since been arraigned before court.
The Ashanti South Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring justice for the victim and maintaining public safety across the region.
Authorities also urged residents to remain alert and promptly report any suspicious activities to assist in crime prevention.
