Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has officially installed Nana Yaw Safor Baah III as the new Paramount Chief of the Worawora Traditional Area in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region.

The installation ceremony, conducted by Nana Barima Okugyesuo Adunan II of Kuntase under the directive of the Asantehene, marks the end of a decade-long leadership dispute within the Worawora Traditional Council.

The event, supervised by Otumfuo’s personal linguist, Okyeame Bonsu, attracted several traditional leaders from Kuntase, Kokofu, Tapa Amanya, Buem-Jasikan, Apesokubi, and Worawora, including Nana Kwaku Aborah III, Sanahene of the Worawora Traditional Council.

In his address, Nana Okugyesuo Adunan II described the prolonged leadership vacuum as a major setback to peace and development in the area. He urged the newly installed chief to prioritize reconciliation, unity, and development among his people.

He further encouraged Nana Yaw Safor Baah III to work hand in hand with community members particularly the youth and women as well as government agencies to drive progress in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Representing the Manhyia Palace, Okyeame Bonsu called on residents to give their full support to the new chief, stressing that lasting development can only be achieved through unity and cooperation.
