Germany will face Ghana in an international friendly in Stuttgart on Monday, March 30, 2026, as both nations step up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the United States.

The Black Stars are led by Hamburg-born Otto Addo, a former Bundesliga player and 15-cap Ghana international who won the German league title with Borussia Dortmund in 2002.

Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann has welcomed the test, noting that Ghana’s dynamic transitions will offer an early indication of what to expect in their World Cup group clash with Ivory Coast. Addo has also hailed the fixture as a major chance for his side to measure themselves against one of the top teams in world football, expressing excitement at the prospect of playing Germany in Stuttgart.

Ghana booked their ticket to the 2026 World Cup as group winners and will line up in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama. The four-time African champions have met Germany three times previously: a 6–1 defeat in a 1993 friendly in Bochum, a 1–0 loss in the 2010 World Cup group stage in South Africa, and a thrilling 2–2 draw in the group stage at Brazil 2014.

Kickoff for the friendly in Stuttgart is set for 8:45 pm on Monday, March 30, 2026.
