The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman for the Ofoase-Ayirabi Constituency, Evans Ofori-Atta , is calling on President John Dramani Mahama, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), and other government appointees to reward party grassroots workers for their contribution to the NDC’s victory in the 2024 general elections.

Mr. Ofori-Atta made the call at a ceremony in Akyem Abenase in the Eastern Region, where items were distributed to polling station executives in the constituency.
The event was organized to mark the NDC’s one year in office and to appreciate the efforts of party foot soldiers who worked tirelessly during the elections.

Items distributed included 30,150 palm oil seedlings, weedicides, food items, and other farming inputs support tailored to the constituency’s predominantly farming population.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Ofori-Atta stressed that grassroots workers must not be neglected after the party’s electoral success, urging government officials to prioritize their welfare.

“Foot soldiers worked day and night to secure victory for the party. They must benefit from the success of the NDC, and I am appealing to government appointees to recognize and support them.

Some NDC polling station chairmen in the Ofoase-Ayirabi Constituency expressed gratitude to Mr. Ofori-Atta for the gesture and endorsed his call, insisting that foot soldiers deserve to be rewarded for their dedication.
