The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry has announced that the price of sachet water will remain unchanged, bringing relief to consumers across the country.

In a press statement, the Ministry commended the Ghana Plastic Manufacturers Association (GPMA) and the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) for suspending a planned price increase that was expected to take effect on Monday, April 6, 2026.

The Ministry noted that the decision demonstrates a shared commitment to protecting consumers while ensuring stability within the market.

It assured the public that sachet water will continue to be sold at the current price, urging consumers to remain calm.

As part of efforts to address concerns within the sector, the Ministry disclosed that it will meet with the leadership of GPMA and NASPAWAP on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, to discuss and resolve challenges confronting producers.

The Ministry further emphasised its commitment to working closely with trade associations to swiftly resolve issues and maintain stability in the market.
