The Ghana Amputee Team marked National Disability Day by engaging in a football match among local players to commemorate the occasion.
The special guest of honor, H.E Angel Lossada Torres-Quevedo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Ghana, emphasized his support for people with disabilities, citing his own experiences with reading and driving difficulties.
He pledged to continue promoting and supporting people with disabilities, noting that civil society in Spain had taken significant steps to assist disabled individuals.

Mr. Emmanuel Akpable, Welfare Officer of Ghana Amputees, described the day as special for people with disabilities and highlighted the importance of inclusivity. He appealed to the government to ensure equal opportunities for people with disabilities in sports, employment, and other areas.
Madam Christiana Nkrumah, Coordinator of the Women Amputees, urged parliament to pass the legislative instrument necessary for operationalization and requested support from the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, corporate bodies, and others in the form of clutches, football boots, and jerseys.
