Ace Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has released another video of assistance referees taking bribe to compromise a match between Liberty Professionals and Great Olympics during last season’s Ghana Premier League.
In the video released, Ashitey Armah and Jason Nunoo both assistance where seen receiving enormous sums of money from the investigators of the Tiger Eye PI team to officiate the match in favour of their team.
Hundreds of Ghanaians gathered at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on Wednesday June 6, to watch Anas’ investigative piece on corruption in Politics and Ghana football.
About 100 referees, GFA officials, and National Sports Authority officials have been implicated in the recent exposé by undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The officials are seen on tape receiving various gifts including cash, and food items in order to either skew matches in favour of one team or to manipulate selection processes into the national team.
The then Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi was captured unilaterally negotiating a sponsorship deal for the Ghana Premier League and allegedly receiving some $65,000 to create access to the presidency.
