Ghanaian actress, Rosemond Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo has revealed that the movie industry hardly earns her enough money to cater for her utilities.

Speaking in an interview with Happy FM’s DJ Advicer on the Ayekoo After Drive show, she stated that “the movie industry doesn’t pay and that is why I am on the streets selling honey”.

According to her, she has no shame in selling honey on the streets because that is what caters for her bills and helps her to take care of her child.

She added that even though she does not earn much from the movie industry, she has no intention of getting intimate with men in the movie industry to earn more as other actresses do. She was also of the view that men in the movie industry will not make such an offer to her as they are afraid of being exposed.

Akuapem Poloo is known to have been recognized by American female rapper, Cardi B as her ‘spiritual sister’ after the two engaged in twerking and rolling on the floor at the Cardi B meet and greet program at Kempinski hotel in Accra.

Akuapem Poloo is currently promoting her new single dubbed “Sexy Poloo”.
