Former Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah says he is currently not interested in football despite being contacted by several teams abroad to coach prestigious sides.

The ex-Black Stars manager has revealed that he is concentrating other things outside sports even though he has also been linked with working with top clubs sides in Ghana as well.

The Kotoko legend made this known when he was asked about his future following reported interest in his services by the Sudanese national side as well as top clubs in the East African country.

Appiah, whose contract with the Black Stars was now renewed after it expired in December, says he is focusing on his other engagements in the country.

“Now I am not interested in football, my concentration is on other things, although I don’t know what will happen in the future,” Kwesi Appiah said in an in an interview with Wontumi FM.

“But I don’t want to know anything about football.”

Appiah was relieved of his position as head coach in Ghana in January 2020 after the Ghana FA decided not to extend his expired contract.

It was the 60-year-old’s second spell as trainer of the Black Stars which he took over in April 2017.

Appiah’s first spell as head coach of the Ghana national team was from April 2012 to September 2014 having guided the Black Stars to a fourth place finish at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa and a group stage exit at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

He also handled Sudanese top-flight side Al Khartoum Al Watani SC between December 2014 and April 2017.
