The Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), Mother Company of the most unique brands in the Ghanaian media space, YFM (Accra, Kumasi & Takoradi), Happy98.9FM and e.TV Ghana has officially launched the month of July as Automobile month.

As part of GMABC’s themed month series, the month of July has been dedicated to sharing educative and informative discussions on all issues that bother on the purchasing of vehicles, maintenance, vehicle registration and much more.

The month-long celebration was launched today on the various GMABC platforms [YFM (Accra, Kumasi & Takoradi), Happy98.9FM and e.TV Ghana].

Programmes Manager for YFM Accra, Eddy Blay, speaking during the launch of the Automobile month on the Ryse & Shyne show with host, Brown Berry stated that “The month of July is taking on the world of automobile and it is going to be bigger and filled with educative initiatives where the public will be equipped with knowledge in the automobile space from vehicle ownership, licensing, usage and maintenance and a whole lot.

Eddy Blay noted that the themed month series has come to stay and has become a part of GMABC’s programming. He proceeded to clarify that the programming on all GMABC’s platforms is not going to be switched up. “We will keep on doing what we do all the time and give our listeners and viewers the best content they can ever have.”

He proceeded to give a breakdown of the weekly activities to be carried both on-air and on digital resources of all the brands under the GMABC umbrella.

“We all love cars and want to own the best but most of us are not aware of the processes that go into owning and registering an automobile. In week one (1) of the automobile month, there will be a special focus on the processes one has to go through to own and license their automobiles.”

With most people owning cars in the country now, it is important to also educate car owners and potential ones on some basic principles in maintaining a car. The second (2nd) week of the automobile month will see vehicle owners and drivers receive expert advice on the usage and maintenance of automobiles.

Outlining activities for the third (3rd) and fourth (4th) weeks, the Programmes Manager for Y 107.9 FM motioned that the brands will focus on cars and the environment and also educate listeners on how to finance the purchase of their automobiles.

He also urged companies who want to be a part of the GMABC Automobile month through one form of sponsorship or the other to contact the team on 0202222095 or 0242884571 for further enquiries.
