A letter to my Mother

A letter to my Mother

YES! Another year of God’s Greater Grace…
[…How I Survived It]

I don’t look like what I have been through.

However, through the journey of life; I appreciate GOD for bringing me on earth through you. I will be glad you pay particular attention to the verses in the chapters of my life below and one or more of them will put a smile on your face as you open to them because you gave me the best foundation to grow with to be the person GOD is making me today. I know very well you know these scriptures because you taught me most of them even without looking into the Bible.

Each time I have known you as my real biological mother has taught me to be better than what I face from the hate and chase of this life. Romans 8:28 has taught me to always learn the best lessons having a good mother as you are, and meeting people of different kinds in my life. Everything that happened with me Amaris Nana A. Perbi, whether good or bad gave me the strength and courage to be alive today as Psalm 124 brings out the Zoe in me.

I have learnt to smile to every storm and I have built my life as a picture of Philippians 4:6-7, through your unfailing counsel and God’s guidance.

As maturity built up adding to my breath another opportunity to age gracefully, Joshua 1:8-9 has been my walking stick as you nursed this scripture in my thoughts and made us recite everyday of our lives as I grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man as inspired ref; Luke 2:52.

Psalm 91 kept me encouraged even in my walk through life’s lessons. I have learnt to make peace with myself and my past (everyone has got one) for the greater perspective of life through Psalm 119:165 where life taught me forgiveness and you always encouraged me to seek peace and pursue it as expressed in Psalm 34:14.

There has been lots of rough roads, mountains, valleys, betrayal and unforgiveneness from people I least expected; but through it all- Psalm 34 preserved my thoughts and I took comfort from Psalm 23 as my cake got iced by Proverbs 3:5-6.

You gave me the best foundation any Godly parent would give to an ambitious son regardless of the demise of my dear daddy at my infant age (may his dear caring soul rest in perfect peace as he smiles reading this from heaven taking a cue from Genesis 18:19.

Happy Birthday to me and I pray you reflect on the scriptures I’ve outlined as I did on this special day ending with Proverbs 4:20-24. This is what you taught me and I am letting you know this day that what you taught me, has grown well and I’m giving these scriptures back to you to comfort you knowing that I’m proud of you as a true woman of God.

I know you are yet to witness another blessing from me and I can assure you that it is fulfilled this new year as Isaiah 61:2 expounds and cemented by Luke 4:19; the blessing of Exodus 23:26 will be fulfilled.

On this day, I celebrate you and I thank God for your life. I want you to know that having you in my life is a birthday gift enough to make me smile and all that I need from you is to stay alive as God assured us with Psalm 91:16.

However, my gift for you is the peace and harmony I got from these scriptures God inspired me to reflect on bringing me thus far within the midnight marking the 4th floor steps????.
Your 2nd born son, little brother and friend, RevPERBI Amaris with love to you, My Mother Hannah.
