Scores of spare parts dealers who thronged the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ Outside Broadcasting (OB) show of Happy FM at Abbosey Okai, a suburb in the Greater Accra Region have registered their displeasure about the sky-rocketing import duties since the introduction of the paperless regime at the entry points.
However, the feelings of the spare parts dealers were divergent, well as some were full of praise for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the introduction of the paperless regime and how it was going to eliminate petty corruption at the ports.
Other dealers were of the view that the paperless regime is fast hampering the developments in the second-hand spare parts industry.
They claimed that the paperless regime at the ports of entry is tormenting the growth of their businesses across the country.
The dealers were worried about how the paperless regime is making the prices of goods in sector sky-rockets.
The dealers told the host of the show Kwame Afrifa Mensah that the introduction has affected the pricing regime of spare parts in the country.
The programme forms as part of the management of the station to bring radio closer to the listeners.
