The District Chief Executive of Kwahu East Isaac Agyapong has urged Abetifi residents to remain calm and go about their normal duties without fear.

According to him, what happened at Abetifi cannot threaten the peace of the community and the District as a whole. He urged schools, hospitals, traders and businesses in the area to feel free and go about their daily activities.

In an interview with Kwadwo Sefah-Danquah on Happy FM’s Morning Show, the DCE emphasized that there is peace at Abetifi except for what happened thus life must go on and nothing will happen to anyone.

“Everything is in the right order except for what happened within two to three hours and it has ended and so I think that life must move on.We have to go and do our normal routine work to improve the District without any fear”.

“It’s unfortunate for such incident to happen at Abetifi but we are looking to intensify our security measures and create awareness so that the people can feel safe. As the chairman of District Security Council (DISEC) in the District, there was no Official communique from National Security to be deployed to the District to undertake such operations so those armed men who abducted the chief are not from National Security as perceived by the residents”, he stressed.
