James Amotoe steals the show at Who's Got Game sport foundation's celebrity classic basketball game

The Who’s Got Game Sport Foundation’s annual international Celebrity Classic basketball match was nothing short of spectacular, and James Amotoe, the reigning MVP of the 2023 Accra Basketball League, stole the spotlight with his exceptional skills on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at The Bukom Boxing Arena.

Amotoe, who played a pivotal role in securing the Greater Accra Basketball League Men’s Division 1 title for the Spintex Knights, joined a star-studded lineup of celebrities and athletes, showcasing a different side of his game to the delight of fans and fellow players.

The event, powered by BET Africa, featured a dazzling array of talent both on and off the court. Notable personalities like Michael Blackson, Boris Kodjoe, Fuse ODG, Rashad Bilal (Earn Your Leisure), Ayo Beatz, Juls, and Just Geen were among the celebrities and athletes who graced the court for this charity-driven extravaganza.

Amotoe’s performance left the audience in awe as he seamlessly transitioned from leading his local team to impressing international stars with his basketball prowess. The MVP demonstrated his versatility, pulling off breathtaking assists and delivering awe-inspiring dunks that left both fans and celebrities alike applauding his skills.

Speaking to YTV, Amotoe expressed his satisfaction with the event and urged organizers to organize such an event very often.



More than just a basketball match, the Who’s Got Game Sport Foundation used the event to leverage the influence of celebrities and athletes to raise funds for charitable causes. The Illustrious Bukom Boxing Arena provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon that combined sports, music, and philanthropy.

The event featured live music, a slam dunk showdown, audience giveaways, and a halftime performance by a special celebrity guest, creating an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie. The doors opened at 2 pm, attracting a diverse crowd of fans eager to witness the fusion of entertainment and sports for a good cause.

The Who’s Got Game Sport Foundation, a registered charitable organization, demonstrated its commitment to creating young leaders through sports as a tool for social change. James Amotoe’s standout performance served as a testament to the transformative power of basketball and the foundation’s mission to make a positive impact on local communities.
