Henrietta Amoah, the lady whose boyfriend doused her with acid, has sent out a profound thank you note to all listeners of Happy FM for their unflinching support as she jetted out of Accra to New Delhi, India, where she will be having a surgery to correct the deformity she incurred through the acid bath.
After her ordeal was laid bare on Happy FM‘s award winning social programme “NSEM PII” by host Pastor Nyansa Boakwa, scores of listeners contributed towards her surgery through mobile money and an amount of GHc50,000 was amassed for the surgery.
Speaking to Happy FM before she boarded her flight to India, Henrietta expressed her unreserved appreciation to all who helped in diverse ways to see her trip become a reality.
“I am very grateful to Happy FM for listening to my story and for ensuring that I got the aid that I needed. I am eternally grateful also to all listeners of Happy FM who brought out their contributions to help me go out for the surgery. I cannot thank you all enough” Henrietta said in appreciation.
Host of “NSEM PII“, Nyansa Boakwa who accompanied Henrietta and her mother to the Kotoka International Airport couldn’t hide his elation at seeing the station’s wish of  Henrietta’s surgery become a reality.
“I just can’t hide my joy at seeing that she is finally flying out to have the surgery which will hopefully correct the deformities she suffered due to the barbaric act of her boyfriend. She’s unable to see properly now but I hope after the surgery, she will be much better. It’s my prayer that the surgery is successful.” Pastor Nyansa Boakwa said.
